Crusades: Medieval Worlds in Conflict

The International Symposium on Crusade Studies is a quadrennial conference sponsored by the Crusades Studies Forum at Saint Louis University. This year represents the fourth meeting of the Symposium. We are excited to welcome M. Cecilia Gaposchkin (Dartmouth College) and Jonathan Phillips (Royal Holloway, University of London) as this year's plenary speakers. Twenty-minute scholarly papers on all topics related to the crusading movement are welcome. This year the conference will be held in conjunction with the Annual Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
Paper and session proposals should be submitted online through the SMRS portal. Please note in the abstract that your proposal is for the Symposium on Crusade Studies. Abstracts should be received by February 15, 2018.
